Good morning, All :)
I hope everyone is having a good start to their day!
Although I have been quiet a little around blogland - I have been busy with commissioned cards & lots of personal birthdays. Trying to focus on too many things at once plays havoc on my health! So I have and am, learning to focus on what I need to & not overwhelm myself with too much or worry even, by not being able to do as much as I want. I love visiting all your blogs but find at times, when I do, nothing else gets done! I'm probably not alone like that! LOL I just feel that I should explain that I can't always get around to visiting but when I do I play catch up with you all lol
OK, here today, is a cutsie little elphalump card & the story behind this one is, my Daughter, last year went to stay & help at an Elephant Sanctuary called BLES which is in Thailand. She had an amazing time helping out, walking with the elephants, helping to rescue dogs & cats too...her photos & experience were a pure joy to look at & listen too. The lady that owns/runs/created the sanctuary is called Katherine Connor - and to read about how BLES started you will need to visit her blog/website. She also has a Facebook page An amazing young lady, a Mum of 3 little ones & another one due very soon - this leads me on the the card I was asked to make by my Daughter. She wanted to send a reasonably light weight card to Thailand for katherine, congratulating her & her husband on the birth of their new bundle of joy. Not knowing what sex the baby will be, she asked me to make the card in neutral colours...so I came up with this one below - in grey & yellow...I really liked it, but Dear Daughter shook her head & said she wanted it all in white and grey so back to my desk I went like a good Mum and came up with the same design but in the colours she wanted (2nd card) - only this time I made the card smaller. I really like the simplicity of the card & enjoyed paper piercing for the first time! (yes, I know..unbelievable, huh?)
Ingredients:
White hinged card base created using Spellbinders - 5-x-7-matting-basics-A & B
Image, sentiment & papers - Pink Petticoat
Ribbon (FS)
A really simple but cute card in whichever colourways you choose to make it in!
Thanks for visiting,
Until next time,
