Today is a special day...

Hi to my crafty buddies!  I hope you are all well and doing what you love best J

Today is a very special day for me, and all though it’s not craft related as such but I do have a card representing this FANTASTIC day.
Today is five years to the day, that my Daughter kicked cancers arse, so in the medical world that means she is CURED.
As every person who has walked this road, either with cancer, or walked alongside a loved one, friend etc with cancer and or lost someone to cancer, knows what a tough, rough road it is to walk.  I also know, as a Mother & a Daughter, I am one of the lucky ones, my Daughter is still here, my Mother too. We made lots of friend's on this journey and we also lost friends too. My heart is with those who have lost and still fighting & for every partner, parent, sibling, friend who has supported them through those difficult times, feeling helpless & scared...

I can not wait for the day when there will be no cancer for anyone.

But today...

 I AM SO THANKFULL

For my daughter's strength, determination, stubbornness and a firm knowledge that she would kick cancers arse!
(I don't know how, can't answer why, but she knew the day she was diagnosed that she would be kicking hard and would win)

Here is a link to her blog if anyone knows of anyone fighting this battle and in need of some inspiration & humour and a whole lot of reality thrown in:

I wont go on and on, so instead will show you the card I made for my Daughter, a card of recognition of how far she has come on this journey…

& love & hope for her future.

Thank you for dropping by, I do appreciate each & everyone of you who finds the time to visit and share with me.
I love your views so please feel free to comment! :)

Wherever you are whatever you do, I hope today is a fantastic one for you!

Until next time,

Mandy :)

Kitty cats

Afternoon All

It’s a sad day for Kanban lovers – including me.  I have learnt today that they are going into liquidation.  I don’t know if it will be possible but I sincerely hope they can find a way of bringing us their fantastic products still.  I have lots of kits so I won’t be short for quite a while yet! But, still, sad to hear the news. :-(

On to my project…I have made a box from square cards! Not much measuring and easy peasy  - it needs to be for me to do it ;-) Box was decorated with Kanban’s Feline Friends card kit.  I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.

I made the flowers freehand by cutting them out of the Kanban backing paper and then added a few Spellbinders D-lites - fantastic flourish one.

Thank you to my new followers for following my little 'ol crafty blog & thank you to all for your lovely comments left on here for me.  So appreciated!

Right, I am off now to craft some more.  Hubby is home ill (that rotten 'man flu') and it's snowing a blizzard outside - so if anyone needs me I shall be acting between nurse & crafter! LOL

Until next time,

Take care,

Mandy :)

Vintage

Good morning one & all!

It’s a dreary day here in my neck of the woods, so a great chance for me to craft, craft, and craft!!

Here is a card I made last night - vintage themed.  I love vintaage stuff – I’ll  be able to class myself as vintage soon! hehe

My card ingrediants as follows:

Papers by: collection Combo 'Western Romance & all about me.'
Digi rose which was coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens:
 FS2, FS3, FS6 (for the flower)
DG3, DG4, JG6 (leaves & stem)
lace from my stash
Pearls from my stash
Cosmic shimmer-pearl
Paper doily from my stash.

I would like to enter my card into:
&
the theme is VINTAGE.

So, I hope your day is a good one, thanks for stopping by. I do appreciate your thoughts or comments !

Until next time,

Mandy :)

Happy March everyone!

Happy March everyone!

I have been a busy bee, making Mother’s day cards & not much time for blogging! Typical!

I’ve also just completed an order for 35 baby shower cards – I have not had a commission order this big before! I’m always worrying that I can live up to people’s expectations when I’m asked to make cards for them.  I don’t really know why I worry as I have not had any negative feedback at all.  Silly, aint I ? hehe!  Anyway, I am quite pleased how they turned out. They were kept quite simple at the request of the expectant Mum!  After making the cards I made up a box from Crafter’s Companion’s Centura Pearl card stock and the Panda Digi is from The Paper Shelter. They have now been collected & I’m waiting on feedback from her *gulps*.

A few of the cards – excuse bad lighting when photo was taken (bit late in the day)
The box is made using the template created by
Emma at Emascardsuk.com.
Such an quick & easy template to use !

Well, that’s it for now.  I’m sooo tired & sore so need some rest time.  Monday tomorrow and more crafting to do…

Hope all is well in your crafty world..

Until next time,

Mandy :-)

For my Valentine!

Good afternoon peeps! I hope one & all are well & having crafty fun?

Tatty teddy Valentine!

This is going to be Hubby’s Valentine card,  Hubby is a ‘less is more’ kinda man so I have restricted my urge to overload LOL

For my card I used Matt & layer template 1,2,3 & 4 from Emma's Cards, 6 x 6 paper pack from Me to You & the Me to you ‘with love’ mini clear stamp.  Image coloured in with my Spectrum Noir pens and layer 3 was coloured with Speccies too & 6 little heart embellishments added.

That's all for now.  I'm making the most of having a good crafting day :)

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little ol' blog o'craftiness - I appreciate your comments!

Until next time,

Mandy :)

In the garden...

Yes, I know it's been a while since I blogged, but sometimes life & illness just gets in the way. I’m so impressed with you crafty peeps who manage to blog every day!
This is my card that I made which I’d like to share with you today..

I couldn't resist this kit from Kanban, called 'In the garden'.  It's just so lovely, full of gorgeous bird toppers and coordinating card & paper pack. I just had to have it! It reminded me of days gone by, when I used to sit & draw the birds in our garden - although these birds drawn here are so much better than my attempts! hehe!

Hope you likey?

I will be entering this card into Emma's Crafty Challenge - #12-Animals.

Better late than never ...'.HAPPY NEW YEAR' - to all my lovely followrs!

Hopefully I wont leave it as long to do another post!

Until next time...

Mandy :)
