Merry Christmas, to one & all :)

Hi to my little Crafty Christmas Crackers! :-)

I hope you're all ready for Christmas? I am! Just! Don't know quite how, but so glad I am...I've had this nasty, coldy, coughy, sore-throaty thingy that everyone seems to have had lately - & I've felt really rough for over a week!   I thank my darling children & hubby for sharing their germs with me! And, to put the Christmas icing on the cake, so to speak, my fatigue/fibro has kicked in big & proper...to quote a Christmas song....'Oh, it's the most wonderful time of the year.....! lol

Anyho-ho (see what I did there?) - this is my last post of 2013 - I shall leave you all with a last card of this year...a white on white Christmas card to my Mother!  I have loved making the white on white cards but I am so looking forward to seeing colour in my cards next year!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge(s):

Delicious doodles challenge - White Christmas

So, I wish you all a fabby Christmas, & for those feeling poorly over the holidays, I wish you well very soon!

BIG CRAFTY HUGS ALL ROUND !

SEE YOU IN 2014!!!

Christmas!

Good Morning, Crafty Peeps!

An early entry for me! Well, a scheduled post so I could still be snoozing away! lol

I was busy yesterday, making more Xmas cards from my Hunkydory kit - I will show pics of them on another post.  I have also been creating some 'white on white' Christmas cards, along with these cards below.  I am trying my 'less is more' which is hard when you're naturally an 'over the top' card maker LOL.  The inside of these cards have the same embossed Centura Pearl matching coloured card inside and the same die cut as on the fronts to write message on plus a small stamped 'Happy Christmas'  sentiment.  I'm going with with no sentiments on the front, just letting the cards 'speak for themselves'!

Ingredients:

Christmas Tree die (free with a magazine)
Cosmic shimmer for pearls.
Happy Christmas stamp (from stash)

So, that's today's post done (rubs hands together), I'm off for a scoot round blog land to see what wonderful creations you've been making whilst drinking my cupper (which I will be doing, I promise - it's a habit thing lol) and then on to more card making!

Have a great day!

Until next time,

Easel (ly) made!

Good Morning Crafters!

Hope everyone's day has got off to a good start? Mine has, I am actually sitting at my craft desk as we 'speak' making the last of my Christmas cards (as well as blogging this!)

My little make today is here...& it's from Hunkydory's Stylish Season Luxury card collection.  I was fortunate to buy these kits when they were on Create & Craft, along with the inserts.  They really are beautiful & the artwork gorgeous.  I have ended up with two lots of these as about a month later I won the WHOLE set in a competition!

I measured, cut, layered & stuck & ended up with this little creation!

Ingredients:

1 dark blue easel card base
Card, inserts & toppers from Hunkydory's Stylish Luxury Collection kit
Snowflakes from my snowflake punch

Beautiful kit to use!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge(s)

CHCC - Anything goes as long as its Christmas

Righty ho! I am off to make some more Christmas cards!

Catch ya laters!

Safari ho!

Hey, crafty Buds!

Hope you are all well as I write this post? Dreary day here in Essex - headache to match! Oh well, here's today's post....

I had a commission request to make a card for a young lady who loves Panda's & animals prints - & seeing as I made the young lady's baby shower invites with Panda's on, I opted for an animal print for her birthday - see, I'm clever like that! ;-)

So, this card's elements came from Kanban's Safari Boutique kit.

My ingredients:
51/2 x 51/2  easel card -
created from Kanban's Safari Boutique background card.
kanban Safari Boutique topper & sentiment.
Kanban paper flowers/
Gold leaves from own leaf punch & mirri card.
Spellbinders Flourish's.
Gems from own stash,

I made my own envelope for this card.

I hope she likes it!

Thank you for stopping by, your comments are so appreciated! :)

Until next time,

Origami!

Hi Peeps!

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend & managed to get some crafting in.

I've not created anything this weekend but I finished working on my Origami box on friday!  This is my first attempt at making one & I was really pleased with how it turned out.  I didn't even do a dry run first - but saying that, I guess this was my dry run but it happened to turn out well first time! lol

I got my inspiration for this box from Christina's blog.  She created two YouTube tutorials, (which you will find of you click on the link to her blog) which were fantastically easy to follow..the pause button was used quite a few times whilst doing all the folds needed.

Finished box

Inside!

Top View!

Sweeties added!

I'm not too sure if I have completely finished the lid...not sure if I should add just a little bit more to it? I keep 'umming & 'arghhing' whether to or not lol

I have a good home for my box creation to go to - I had my Eldest Niece in mind when I created it.  She was meant to be having a back operation but only just found it she has put it on hold & trying Physio first.  The box & card (card yet to make) was meant for her to let her know I shall be thinking of her.  She's still getting it given to her, operation or not - it's nice to create & give!

I would like to enter into the following challenge(s):

scribble and scrap crafts - Always anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Anything goes
Crafty Girls Challenges - Anything goes
Through the Craftroom door - Anything goes
Divas by Design - Make it pretty

Enjoy your day, Peeps - off to catch up with blogs!

Until next time,

BeBunny Beauties

Hi Guys!

Another scheduled post - I think I am getting the hang of these now!

Well, like I said before, here I am, back again with more Bebunny! Can you tell I really love this CD rom? hehe

This time I have printed out an easel card template onto Centura card & added all elements from the CD - plus a few bits from my own stash.  I also printed of the exploding box too and putting that together was a first for me. Simples!  I also printed off some backing paper and made my own envelopes for the card & book mark (that was printed from CD too)

As you can see,  I had a fab reason for making all of these, as they are for my Niece's 9th birthday!  Unfortunately, I wont get to see her open these on her birthday but I really hope she likes them!

   Easel card

                               Exploding box open!

                                         ....& closed

So, that's my run of Bebunny for a while, it's back to Christmas cards tomorrow.  I've only made about 25 so best get my fingers out to do some more!

Until next time,

Crafty hugs,

Tuesday 19 November 2013

Iris

Hey crafty buddies!

Thank you for you lovely comments on  my last post! I'm pleased to say, feeling a tad better but still not where I want to be.

I have been making a bunch of 'Thank you' cards the past few days, well, they are being made in dribs & drabs, when energy gives me permission to carry on with them lol.  I've been using Crafter's Companion,  BeBunny stamp & Sheena douglas'  'A little bit floral' stamps - Iris & to colour I used my Spectrum Noir pens. I still have a long way to go with my colouring technique but, hey, I enjoy it so hopefully will get better at it!

This was a Thank you card for my Dad & his wonderful partner, to say (obviously) Thank you for my birthday gifts.  My Dad's partner loves Iris' & she was thrilled with the card!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge(s)
CraftyCatz - Anything NOTsquare

Okay, that's me finished for now.  I'll be back soon with my BeBunny cards to show you.

Until next time,

Crafty hugs!

Thursday 14 November 2013

Let's go shopping!

Hey lovely peeps!

This is a schedule post! I thought I'd have a go to see how easy it is, and if it actually works! Knowing me, something will go wrong! hehe!

BUT!

If you're reading this, then.....IT WORKED!!!!!

Well, the card I have to show you today, was created from another one of my Kanban kits.  I think it's from the 'So femine' kit.  Forgive me if I'm wrong as having a 'blank' moment! lol

I entered this card into the Facebook 'We love Kanban' Group - for their November challenge!

I so miss Kanban still.  I just loved their kits, mind you, I have loads to keep me busy for a long while yet!

So, that's it.  I shall be tuning in tomorrow to see if this scheduling malarky has worked or not!

Until then, take care all,

Happy crafting!

Wednesday 13 November 2013

happy 70th!

Hi Peeps! forgive my missing in action around blogland, facebook etc.  I'm battling with ill health inconveniences at the moment.  I have tried being crafty but what with my mojo taking a break & my health not having the energy to go looking for it, well, things have been much of a standstill..

Hey ho, onwards & upwards, huh?!

I have managed in past couple of days, to create this card which I am sharing for all to see! Some may already recognise where I got my inspiration from, but if not, then I will tell you.  I follow a lovely, talented lady who blogs & youtube's her makes & has a wonderful way of 'teaching' her card craft.  Her name is Christina and she is from flowersribbonsandpearl & Card-making-magic.com.  She has a gentle way of explaining & teaching what she has learnt along the way.  I am in awe of her designs & wanted to create a card very similar to her designs.  My measurements are not the same as Christina's, I think this was a 6 x 4 size hinged-card blank I created & all my layers were measured out and not one die was used in the layers although you can see I have used the lattice die cut from Spellbinders & also the Spellbinders decorative label 28 die cut topper at the front of card.  I really like the way Christina also embosses the inside of her card & adds matching ribbon too; for my inside of card, I did the same & added another label 28 die cut over my verse.  I was really pleased how this card turned out.

Here's a side view where you can see the embossing & verse.

I made a matching box to present the card in.  The card & box were both made from Centura Pearl card.

So, there's my little make & I so hope the recipient likes her card!

Just want to say thank you to Christina for her lovely blog & tutorials & for the enjoyment I have reading, watching & learning from her.

Until next time,

These Roses are red!

Evening all!

Thank you for your lovely comments from my last post & welcome to my lovely new followers! :-)

Today,I've had time to have a crafty play around & had a break away from making Christmas cards. I decided to make my Mother a card – for no reason at all, just because…. :-)
Once I finished making this card I then wrote a Daughter to Mother poem.

Here is my card:

Ingredients used:
6 x 6 blank card
Backing paper, rose topper, sentiment & insert from
Card Creations-flowers in bloom CD
(printed on to)Water colour paper
Red holographic card
Nellie's multi frame circle die
T!m Holtz 'tattered rose' distress ink
Roses & leaves, ribbon & gems from my stash.

I shall be taking the card over to her tomorrow -  My son is healing nicely from his broken pelvis & is less reliant on me now so I can ease up & have a little more 'me' time & able to go out without worrying if he'll be ok :-)

I'm off now to take a journey round blog-land to catch up...

Umtil next time..

Mandy :-)

Cadbury Blue Wedding!

Afternoon Peeps!

I had a request to make a wedding card but not of the ‘usual’ kind – I was to make it incorporating a Cadbury blue background along with white & Cadbury blue butterflies!

I'm really not too sure about it. I keep putting it away, taking it out & looking at it again...putting it down etc.. - I think I like it! I just hope the recipient likes it when she picks it up!!

Not a good day for me healthwise so just popping this on blogger & then going back to rest.

Hope you are all well & enjoying your day :)

Until next time,

Mandy :-)
