Merry Christmas Everyone!

Ho Ho Ho everyone, Santa here...no, it's ME, silly, just popping in to wish you ALL a very Merry Christmas! I hope your day will be fun & spent with friend's and family.  Hubby & I are having our first Christmas day on our own! Boxing day will be Christmas day for us two & the kids.  Quite looking forward to a chilled out Christmas day - it'll be the first for a LONG time!

I've added here just some of the Christmas cards I made this year.  Not all have been uploaded so thought I'd just showcase the few that were.  The images are from PinkPetticoat....just love these images, well tbh, I love all of Liz Armstrong's images,  If you aren't aware of her & her artwork, then pop over to her site & have a look (After Christmas of course, no time for you right now lol)

Anyhoo, that's my little catch up done, I hope to be back in the New Year with more cards.

Happy Christmas, All :)
&
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Until next time,

I'm back...for today at least!

Hi All,

After having a three month break from blogging, I thought I would pop in and post a few pics of cards I have created over the months.  I've had major surgery so rest was instructed.  Do you know how frustrating that is, recovering when you have a lot of craft stuff staring you in the face?...lol

Anyhoo, here's some crafty makes:

I apologise for pics being all over the place, I tried & tried to align them neatly but blogger didn't like my style!

I hope to start my Christmas cards very soon.  I say start, I did actually make some already - they were sent to:

Check the link out.  It's such a lovely thing to do, if you've not already done something like this before!

But first, before Christmas cards, I have a few family birthday cards to do, starting NOW....lol

Until next time,

Dogful wishes

Morning, Peeps! :)

I hope all is well in the crafting world? It's been a bit of a hit 'n' miss crafting wise for me - my mojo gave me a very short notification that it was going on a holiday, I only found out when I sat at my desk with nothing to go on, zilch ideas & lots of 'erm, uh, oh & pfft's' going round my head....lol...still no idea when Mr Mojo is on it's way back...

Anyhow, this card below was one created just before Mr Mojo headed off...and this was a last minute 'Oh, I forgot to do a card from the dog' err...card! It's for my Daughter's 25th birthday from her 12 1/2 year old dog (her dog but I do everything for it & it only listens to me lol) & I know from past experience, that she has to have a card from her 'baby' every year since I've been making cards! But I must admit, it really was a last minute thought as I'd totally forgot beforehand!!!  So, it was a quick image to colour in, one from Mo Manning from Mo's Digital pencil, called Bronte birthday. Fab image to colour & I've tried to colour the image just like our dog!

  Mo's Bronte dog

My Daughter, Hayley with her 'baby'!

So, considering this card was last minute, I was pleased how it turned out.  My Daughter is not one for ribbon's & pearls etc, so I had to hold myself back-restricting myself & to stop adding more
to her card - oh it was hard...lol.

I haven't got my list of ingredients with me so will have to add that at a later date.

So, that is all! I will see you all again soon...
Oh, and, if you see Mr Mojo on your travels through blogland, please tell him he needs to get back...I can't move on without him!!! LOL

Until next time,

Monday 14 July 2014

I'm 'overall' happy!

Good Monday morning to you all!

Hope you had a lovely weekend? The weather here was stormy, stuffy, rainy & sunshiny  (here is Essex) - not all at the same time but throughout the weekend it was one or t'other! hideous at night time, so humid & hard to sleep.  I'm not a lover of the heat (unless it's winter ;-) ...

Anyho...on to my card...this little easel card was made for my little Niece's 3rd birthday...she is a cutie with gorgeous auburn hair & cheeky face, and she's a little bit tom boyish! I thought this image was cute & just perfect to use on her card - it's another one from Meljen's Designs, it's called A girl & her overalls - I can't help but LOVE Melissa's images she draws...I tried to catch the auburn colour in her hair & if I do say so myself, I think I did a good job!

Cupcake, anyone?

Good morning, Friends! Hope you're all ready for the weekend?!

I have a friend in the USA who asked me to make a card for a lady that lives here, in the UK.  She wanted a card that offered comfort & hugs.  I came up with this card because I know when a friend is down, we usually end up having a cuppa, a chin wag, an off-load, a moan, whatever you want to call it - and, sometimes THERE IS CAKE involved too!

Ingredients:

Kanban topper, sentiment & background card
Ribbon from stash
Butterflies cut from Memory Box die
Spellbinders matt & layer
Spellbinders flourish trim
Blue card from stash

Have a good one & take care all!

Slice of cake, anyone?

Hi Peeps,
I hope you're all doing ok?
I had fun today creating hubby's birthday card - he's not big on fussy cards but hey, he got one lol
I have used an image from Meljen's Designs (just love, love, love Melissa's digis) called 'http://meljens Topsy Turvy Birthday' - coloured with my promarker pens. I played around adding the buttons, which I liked but I then removed them as I knew it'll be too much for hubby.
Anyway, he liked the card!
Ingredients:
Black 8 x 8 card base
Purple Adorable Scorable card
Black card from stash
Metallic stars blue wrap paper
Darice 'Zebra' embossing folder
C'ordinations card stock
Promarker pens (colours to follow)
Yellow heart & star buttons.
Sentiment from stash

That's it! Another birthday over, another year older....thankfully lots of other birthdays so onwards & upwards with making more cards...

Kitty

Good evening, all :)

It's been a while since my last blog post.  I've had time out from blogging, Facebook etc.  I needed the break.  I made a decision to leave the fab DT at Feeling Crafty purely for health reasons.  I needed a break from commitments where i could just do things as & when I wanted or felt like it.  I've been enjoying crafting & not blogging about it!! LOL But, I am back, I wont be posting regularly as yet but as & when I feel I can.

Anyway, on to my card...another fun one & I love this image, it just makes me chuckle.  I'm a cat lover & have three of my own so this appeals to me.  The image is from Meljen's Designs & Melissa's images are surely becoming a favourite of mine! Meljen's Designs have a 50% off her entire shop (up until the 4th July) - it's worth visiting & taking a look at her fabulous hand drawn designs.

Ingredients:
8 x 8 card base
Papers & flowers from Hot of the Press - free from craft magazine
Image: Kitty Butts - Meljen's Designs
Border die -Marianne Creatables
 Majestic labels 25 - Spellbinders
Ribbon,  pearls, gems & paw stickers from stash
faux stitching drawn in

So, that's my post for this evening - Hope you like it?

Pretty petticoat

Good morning, Peeps!

Here's hoping you are all fab & having a good start to the day!

Today's cards are created from papers from Pink Petticoat - I just love Liz Armstrong's designs - so clear, clean & simply beautiful!  And, if you are in a hurry, these papers are quick to use and you've created a beauty in no time!  Obviously, if you have more time, you can add to enhance to your heart's content!

So, on to my first card - from Pretty Printemps  Pattern Paper Pack-Spring Bouquet - this set includes little chicks, bunnies, tulips & daffodils & you have a choice of printing onto a white background or a soft dust background. They really are very subtle & beautiful designs.

Card front

 Card & matching envelope

I printed off my tulip design onto a white background - added a ribbon from stash, 2 peel off flowers, placed on acetate & cut around, then coloured (on reverse)with gel pens & then added to ribbon on outside of card, and larger flower added to inside of right side corner.  I then added a sentiment from Pinkpetticoats 'tiny everyday sentiments'. Once I had my card how I wanted it, I then created a matching envelope (using the same backing papers) with my 'we r memory keepers envelope punch board   Finished the card of nicely!

My second card was created for my Son's father...one of those..' Oh I haven't got Dad a Father's day card, can you quickly 'THROW' one together requests! Well, it wasn't hard to do, considering it was lastminute.com - I turned to Pink Petticoat again as I already had their Mr Moustache images, papers & sentiments ready to print off & use...

Here's the quick card creation!

Kit kitties

Good Afternoon All!

I've been busy creating cards using MELJEN'S Designs Mother Cat image! I just love this Mummy cat & her kittens & it colours beautifully.  I've coloured four different colour ways with this digi - I bet you can't guess who is the cat lover, huh? LOL I have three of my own - an oldster one at 16, & two youngish ones (Brother & Sister) aged 3 & 2. The younger ones are my crafting buddies - well, the 3 year old one is, Charlie is his name, and he is my inspiration for my blog name! He is always by my side wherever I am.  His little Sister, Lola. is the Princess of shredding! I have a waste paper/recycling bin close by to my desk & when she feels the need, she jumps in & all I can here is the sound of ripping paper! LOL  My old cat just sleeps whilst it's all going on...

Anyway, getting back to my card, I played about with the above card, making it more masculine but using same image, design & papers but leaving out the flowers & flourishes.

The bottom version is going to be for my Son's birthday - he's a cat lover like me!

Ingredients used:
Mother cat image by Meljen's designs
Backing papers, sentiment & bow embellishment from
Kanban Craft's Feline Friends A4 paper pad.
Kraft card from stash
Martha Steward border punch
Prima flowers
Gems from stash

Good morning, Crafters :)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend?

Today's post shows you my first attempt at making a Pop up box card! looking back I needed to play around with the positioning of flowers but I know for next time! I got the measurements for the card here & must say it was a clear & easy tutorial.  I practiced on copier paper first, although a bit thin to use, it was a good thing to do as I didn't want to ruin any good card stock!

I decorated my card using papers from Crafter's Companion's  latest Inspiration issue 4 (Spring edition) the papers are fab to use & designs so cute.

Ingredients used:

Box card template
Centura Pearl cardstock
Paper elements from
Crafter's Companion Inspiration magazine
 Crafter's Companion Collall glue
Spellbinders - adorning squares die
Happy Birthday die - free die from

So, for a first attempt, not bad, me thinks -  but there is room for improvement!

I think my next blog post will be me creating a card  using more papers from CC's Inspration magazine..

Stay tuned....

Until next time,

Friday 9 May 2014

Centura Pearly

Good Morning all!

Another dreary day here down in good ol' Essex! Hope you have sunshine where you are.  It's going to be a crafty day for me today (yay) - not feeling too bad so hopefully I'll achieve more than I have done, lately!

Anyway, on to my card - which was made for my Nephew's girlfriend.  I wanted to play around with my dies and how better than using them with Centura Pearl card stock.  I just love that card, fabulous to emboss too...

Here is the front

Cheesy!

Good morning, Peeps :)

I hope this windy/sunny day finds you all well?

My crafting at the moment is intermittent - apologies for that! Hospital appts etc taking priority and trying to feel well is a big ask!

Anyway, I have managed to create a commissioned card for a lady's 30th birthday.  It wasn't a usual request for flowers, etc - the recipient wanted a card with cheese on it!!  I had a search around for 'cheese' images & came across the wonderful digi world of Meljen's Designs & I must say, I was like a kid in a sweetie shop, I spent tons of time looking at all her wonderful designs - and found this cheeky cheesy mouse image called 'Cheesy Mouse' - super cute little fella!

card

Box

I spent a relaxing time colouring the image ( I know, room for improvement but I'll get there!) before looking through all my crafty stash for papers, dies etc to put together the card above. The flowers were made by myself too.  I wanted the colour palette to fit the cheesy yellow theme & the mouses' red cheeks ( I don't know why I chose to colour his cheeks red...but hey, I went with it and kinda liked it!).

Anyway, hope you like it!

Delightful Decoupage!

Good Morning to one & all! Hope you've all had a good week & looking forward to the weekend?

For My Father's birthday, I've been wanting to make him a nautical themed gift for a while, seeing as he & his partner live next to the beach (at Clacton, Essex) and it certainly is a wonderful place to live.  Especially this time of the year (the non rainy part lol) where the beach is still bare, no tourists as yet and it is peaceful looking out to sea...Oh I feel another visit coming on...I digress, sorry...back to the reason why I am here...lol...blogging about my bits n peices! I decided to decoupage a couple of MDF hearts & I already had the themed napkins that I needed, so with a bit of planning what was going where, and a splish splash of decoupage glue & varnish I came up with these delights. I also printed a quote I found onto one of the layers removed from my napkin - by attaching it to a sheet of copier paper and whooshing it through the printer. Then decoupaging the same way as the rest of napkin.  The first one (on the left) I kept for myself, (Truth be told, the images & quote are a bit wonky - that's a trademark of mine don'tyaknow!) as our bathroom is nautical themed - and the other two are actually one - I decided to do both sides so if a change was felt then the heart could be turned over - PLUS I also liked the lighthouse and wanted to incorporate it into the theme....
So, there you go. I was rather pleased with how they turned out, what do you think?

Ingredients:
Nautical napkins  - eBay
Decoupage glue
Varnish

That's all for now, thanks for popping by,

Until next time,
