Pretty petticoat

Good morning, Peeps!

Here's hoping you are all fab & having a good start to the day!

Today's cards are created from papers from Pink Petticoat - I just love Liz Armstrong's designs - so clear, clean & simply beautiful!  And, if you are in a hurry, these papers are quick to use and you've created a beauty in no time!  Obviously, if you have more time, you can add to enhance to your heart's content!

So, on to my first card - from Pretty Printemps  Pattern Paper Pack-Spring Bouquet - this set includes little chicks, bunnies, tulips & daffodils & you have a choice of printing onto a white background or a soft dust background. They really are very subtle & beautiful designs.

I printed off my tulip design onto a white background - added a ribbon from stash, 2 peel off flowers, placed on acetate & cut around, then coloured (on reverse)with gel pens & then added to ribbon on outside of card, and larger flower added to inside of right side corner.  I then added a sentiment from Pinkpetticoats 'tiny everyday sentiments'. Once I had my card how I wanted it, I then created a matching envelope (using the same backing papers) with my 'we r memory keepers envelope punch board   Finished the card of nicely!

My second card was created for my Son's father...one of those..' Oh I haven't got Dad a Father's day card, can you quickly 'THROW' one together requests! Well, it wasn't hard to do, considering it was lastminute.com - I turned to Pink Petticoat again as I already had their Mr Moustache images, papers & sentiments ready to print off & use...

Here's the quick card creation!

Kit kitties

Good Afternoon All!

I've been busy creating cards using MELJEN'S Designs Mother Cat image! I just love this Mummy cat & her kittens & it colours beautifully.  I've coloured four different colour ways with this digi - I bet you can't guess who is the cat lover, huh? LOL I have three of my own - an oldster one at 16, & two youngish ones (Brother & Sister) aged 3 & 2. The younger ones are my crafting buddies - well, the 3 year old one is, Charlie is his name, and he is my inspiration for my blog name! He is always by my side wherever I am.  His little Sister, Lola. is the Princess of shredding! I have a waste paper/recycling bin close by to my desk & when she feels the need, she jumps in & all I can here is the sound of ripping paper! LOL  My old cat just sleeps whilst it's all going on...

Anyway, getting back to my card, I played about with the above card, making it more masculine but using same image, design & papers but leaving out the flowers & flourishes.

The bottom version is going to be for my Son's birthday - he's a cat lover like me!

Ingredients used:
Mother cat image by Meljen's designs
Backing papers, sentiment & bow embellishment from
Kanban Craft's Feline Friends A4 paper pad.
Kraft card from stash
Martha Steward border punch
Prima flowers
Gems from stash

Good morning, Crafters :)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend?

Today's post shows you my first attempt at making a Pop up box card! looking back I needed to play around with the positioning of flowers but I know for next time! I got the measurements for the card here & must say it was a clear & easy tutorial.  I practiced on copier paper first, although a bit thin to use, it was a good thing to do as I didn't want to ruin any good card stock!

I decorated my card using papers from Crafter's Companion's  latest Inspiration issue 4 (Spring edition) the papers are fab to use & designs so cute.

Ingredients used:

Box card template
Centura Pearl cardstock
Paper elements from
Crafter's Companion Inspiration magazine
 Crafter's Companion Collall glue
Spellbinders - adorning squares die
Happy Birthday die - free die from

So, for a first attempt, not bad, me thinks -  but there is room for improvement!

I think my next blog post will be me creating a card  using more papers from CC's Inspration magazine..

Stay tuned....

Until next time,

Centura Pearly

Good Morning all!

Another dreary day here down in good ol' Essex! Hope you have sunshine where you are.  It's going to be a crafty day for me today (yay) - not feeling too bad so hopefully I'll achieve more than I have done, lately!

Anyway, on to my card - which was made for my Nephew's girlfriend.  I wanted to play around with my dies and how better than using them with Centura Pearl card stock.  I just love that card, fabulous to emboss too...

Cheesy!

Good morning, Peeps :)

I hope this windy/sunny day finds you all well?

My crafting at the moment is intermittent - apologies for that! Hospital appts etc taking priority and trying to feel well is a big ask!

Anyway, I have managed to create a commissioned card for a lady's 30th birthday.  It wasn't a usual request for flowers, etc - the recipient wanted a card with cheese on it!!  I had a search around for 'cheese' images & came across the wonderful digi world of Meljen's Designs & I must say, I was like a kid in a sweetie shop, I spent tons of time looking at all her wonderful designs - and found this cheeky cheesy mouse image called 'Cheesy Mouse' - super cute little fella!

I spent a relaxing time colouring the image ( I know, room for improvement but I'll get there!) before looking through all my crafty stash for papers, dies etc to put together the card above. The flowers were made by myself too.  I wanted the colour palette to fit the cheesy yellow theme & the mouses' red cheeks ( I don't know why I chose to colour his cheeks red...but hey, I went with it and kinda liked it!).

Anyway, hope you like it!
