In the garden

What? I hear you say, another post from Crafty Cat Designs…No!…really?,. What a shocker!!

Hehe! Yes! I am back again, this time with another male themed card, well to be honest, it could be for male or female(if the sentiment is changed)but the intended is male to I’ll stick with it being male themed, thankyouverymuch!

~ ~~

Before I get on to my card, I hope you have all have a good day & evening.  My day has included a bit of this 'n' a bit of that…crafting, gardening, baking… not exactly in that order lol

So, now, onto my card..
I have used the beautiful kit from Kanban’s  ‘In the garden’ – such quality card, toppers & papers (still makes me sad to think they’ll be no more in the future)and such a pleasure to use.  I’m very attached to my Kanban kits & don’t want to use them all up cos I loves them so much!

My ingredients:

8 x 8 card blank
Kanban 'In the garden' card, papers & owl topper (decoupaged)
Kanban sentiments
Gold metallic promarker pen
Gold gems
all the gummings to stick it all together!

I hope you like!

My last card for the year day is a male themed card. I recently purchased a new CD Rom called
'Man about Town from Kraftyhands
after watching them on Create & Craft and LOVED what I saw.

Anyhoo, the Ingredients:

Is it SPRINGTIME, yet?

Well, I have been a busy bee today, I don’t blog for ages and then I go & blog 3 times in one day!

So, card #3 – this little creation has been in my mind ever since I brought the April edition of Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine & the free gift were 'Apple of my eye'  stamps by Jayne Nestorenko & papers! I fell in love with the stamps as soon as I saw them! The papers are gorgeous too.

This is my first time colouring a Sherri Baldi Designs - Bestie Digistamp!
I really like this Big Eye art. Such a pleasure to colour.  I really did enjoy losing myself in colouring and creating this card – a little out of my comfort zone – but a change is good as the rest, right? And, I'm pleased with how it turned out :-)

To colour image, flower & butterfly I used a combination of Promarkers, Spectrum Noir & Sekura glitter pens
Free backing papers from Simply cards & papercraft magazine
Flowers, leaves, flourish & butterfly from my crafty stash!
Martha Stewart Punch
cArt-Us border fountain Die.

Angelica and Friends

Hi crafty peeps!
I hope all is good with one & all?
I am so behind with blogging and I have approx. 4 cards to blog about…I hope no one is too busy ? hehe
On to my first card, this was a commissioned card and to be for a little girl ~ which gave me the opportunity to use my new:

It wasn’t hard to choose little Angelica herself as the little girl on the card  looks very similar to her!

All elements used from the CD itself, apart from backing paper, which for the life of me, I can not remember but I know it was from one of Crafter's Companion CD's
Glitter pen.
I added some glitter to the main image, bows & flower/ leaves.

Today is a special day...

Hi to my crafty buddies!  I hope you are all well and doing what you love best J

Today is a very special day for me, and all though it’s not craft related as such but I do have a card representing this FANTASTIC day.
Today is five years to the day, that my Daughter kicked cancers arse, so in the medical world that means she is CURED.
As every person who has walked this road, either with cancer, or walked alongside a loved one, friend etc with cancer and or lost someone to cancer, knows what a tough, rough road it is to walk.  I also know, as a Mother & a Daughter, I am one of the lucky ones, my Daughter is still here, my Mother too. We made lots of friend's on this journey and we also lost friends too. My heart is with those who have lost and still fighting & for every partner, parent, sibling, friend who has supported them through those difficult times, feeling helpless & scared...

I can not wait for the day when there will be no cancer for anyone.

But today...

For my daughter's strength, determination, stubbornness and a firm knowledge that she would kick cancers arse!
(I don't know how, can't answer why, but she knew the day she was diagnosed that she would be kicking hard and would win)

Here is a link to her blog if anyone knows of anyone fighting this battle and in need of some inspiration & humour and a whole lot of reality thrown in:

I wont go on and on, so instead will show you the card I made for my Daughter, a card of recognition of how far she has come on this journey…

& love & hope for her future.

Thank you for dropping by, I do appreciate each & everyone of you who finds the time to visit and share with me.
I love your views so please feel free to comment! :)

Wherever you are whatever you do, I hope today is a fantastic one for you!

Until next time,

Mandy :)
