Sea Ahoy!

Hi Peeps!

Thank you for visiting my little ol’ blog & leaving your comments. I like getting positive comments/criticism regarding my cards –and any advice is nice too! It means a lot that you lovely people go out of your way to visit my blog J There are so many lovely/favourite blogs to visit & just not enough time too to get round to them all…but it’s not for the want of trying…

On to my little project here… I think we all do those little projects that just dow’t quite go to plan, don’t we? We’ll here’s one of mine which I've made today! I’m showcasing it because it’s good to see where we go wrong so we can make changes for the next time…

This is the first attempt at a box easel card. I watched a tutorial on youtube on how to make one. And was quite pleased with the 'mechanics' of how it turned out & I was pleased with my stamping & colouring etc but then, I had

to fiddle around with the top part - thinking it looked to bare with just the main topper on it.  I will so never learn lol I cut some corners out and added two little anchors - made by stamping onto shrink plastic - and then my heat gun died on me ;( and then I distressed and became Distressed myself - It looks like a bodge-job around the edges!Note to myself* practice blending more! So, anyway - I lived - & I learnt today lol  So on the whole, I'm pleased with the actual box easel card and the main image stamping etc so I can live with that!!

Ingredients used:
Card & paper from my own stash
Die cut frame from Nelleis MFD 020
Kanban's beside the sea stamps
Blue Heritage pigment ink
Memento ink - tuxedo black
Boat emblie from my stash
Spectrum Noir pens
Red & White rope

Lesson learnt I say!

I would like to enter it into the following challenges:
crafting musketeers - Use a stamped image!
The crafting cafe  - Here comes the boys!
Cards for men - Boys will be boys!
Challenges4everybody - Anything goes!

Thanks for dropping by!

Until next time...

This is a brilliant box easel card Mandy and it all looks fabulous. You are being too hard on yourself. Distress inks are not supposed to look perfect and neat - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, lol x
