Lady in Yellow

Good evening, Crafty ladies & gents...
I hope you've all had a good day?  Mine's been a bit hectic so no crafting for me today but yesterday I spent a good few hours creating the card below.  I found this image on the Public Domain at the end of last year, and fell in love with the image & colours.  I've been waiting for a day where I just wanted to create for myself i.e, no commissions, no family birthdays etc, so create I did.  The image is called Lady in yellow- Carter, Pruett (1891-1955) - House & Garden 1926 and it really is beautiful to look at, I just love the yellow. Yellow is not usually a colour I use much but I teamed it up with purple mirror card and the backing papers I created in CraftArtist from the lady's dress and the wallpaper ( You can't see it but it is a pale green/flowery wallpaper). The yellow in the flowers and the pale green are from the same paper, plus the purple mirri too.  I chose a pale green pearlescent card for the leaves & flourish.

Ingredients:

8 x 8 card blank
Purple Mirri card (stash)
purple & cream pearls (stash)
Pearlescent card (stash)
Marianne Creatables frame LR0240
Marianne Craftables flowers LR0162
Marianne Creatable white border die CR1250
Joy Crafts Alphabet & Number stencil die 6002.0140

I decided after I made the card that it would be for My Mum, from my Daughter for Mothering Sunday.
It really is beautiful, purely because of the image, of course ;-)

Thanks for popping in, I appreciate you finding the time to come visit :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I find yellow as a difficult color to work with, but you did an amazing job! Love the image and that you made a matching background paper. Thank you for joining us at TTPH this week :)

A beautiful bright sunshine yellow card. I've said many times that yellow isn't used enough in crafting.
It's always nice to sit down and make what YOU want to make, and not what others want or expect you to make.
